Hi! Iβm Alyx.
Alyx was born alongside the most beautiful beaches (and people) in Pensacola, Florida. Her love of performance and theatre was written in the stars and after watching Annie (the 1982 movie with Carol Burnett, of course) at only 3 years old, her lifeβs purpose started taking shape.
Alyx credits growing up surrounded by an incredible arts community, the Pensacola Little Theatre, and Pensacola Childrenβs Chorus for cultivating her passion and talents. As well as her years attending the Florida State Thespian Festival (and senior year as drama club president!) (Troupe 3935) at Booker T. Washington High School.
During her college summers, she worked professionally as a company member at the Bigfork Summer Playhouse and graduated from the University of Central Florida a semester early with her BFA in Musical Theatre. She moved to New York City just a few short weeks after graduation and booked her first audition: Sandy Dumbrowski, in Grease.
Alyx returned to the Bigfork Summer Playhouse for a final time and upon her return to NYC, another dream came true β she was heading out to sea and joining the Creative Studios by NCLH on the Oceania Sirena as a production vocalist. She traveled to 22 countries over 9 months and met her husband in the process! Traveling the world and falling in love changed Alyxβs life forever. However, COVID and the global lockdown was around the corner, waiting for her just months after that contract ended.
Like most of the industry, Alyx did her best to pivot during the pandemic. She purchased and flipped the interior of a 30β travel trailer named βDorothyβ with her husband, Dale, and moved to Asheville, NC for half a year to enjoy the outdoors and lots of craft beer. She then moved back home to Pensacola to be near family and ended up exploring a sector of the industry that was completely new to her: producing. Alyx created a one-night-only solo show titled βThe Songs that Saved Meβ which she produced, created, directed, and starred in. Later that same year, she did the same thing again, brought Dale in, and the two created βHome for the Holidays,β a holiday cabaret. These shows were the springboard of hope she so desperately needed after some long, tough years.
The stars aligned and in January of 2022, Alyx (and Dale!) received the call from the Creative Studios by NCLH and got the offers to swing Jersey Boys β a dream come true! They spent the year sailing around Alaska and became part of the Jersey Boys family (thank you, Dodgers!). Alyx called NYC βhomeβ once again at the beginning of 2023 and began rebuilding: her life, her career, her purpose.
She got to revisit Jersey again and joined the company of Jersey Boys at the Fireside Theatre and later that year, the company of Miracle on 34th Street at Wagon Wheel. But one of her greatest dreams came true this year when she got the opportunity to play Cathy Hiatt in The Last Five Years at Center Stage. This production, directed by Liz Muller, was met with rave reviews.
Alyx calls New York City home and continues to dream big. Check back to see what sheβs up to next!

βI look out the window and I see the lights and the skyline and the people on the street rushing around looking for action, love, and the worldβs greatest chocolate chip cookie, and my heart does a little dance.β
